Organizations and isolation

Bases

Each database keeps its data separately. A member of one database reaches nothing of another. An account that belongs to several bases chooses one after sign-in; the top-bar command Switch organization (Змінити організацію) returns to that choice — it switches the database, not the organization inside it.

Organizations inside a database

A database keeps the books of one or more own organizations (catalog Organizations (Організації); the option Several organizations (Облік за кількома організаціями) in Functionality (Функціональність) shows the organization choice in documents, lists and reports). Every document, entry and register row belongs to one organization.

• A document created without an organization gets the user's main organization (personal settings), else the organization marked Main organization (Основна організація), else the first active one by code.
• Lists and reports open on the user's current organization; All organizations (Усі організації) needs the special right to every organization.
• Each organization numbers its documents separately with its Number prefix (Префікс номерів).
• The accounting policy is kept per organization (catalog Accounting policy (Облікова політика)).
• A period is closed for all organizations of the database at once (see Month and year close).

Restricting a user to organizations

In Users (Користувачі), tick the member's organizations (Only the ticked ones). A restricted member:

• sees and changes only documents, entries, balances, reports and attachments of its organizations; a request for another organization's object is refused without revealing it;
• cannot make another organization its default;
• runs the AI tools under the same scope;
• cannot close periods, change the functionality, custom profiles or settings of the whole database.
